Denise Martinez, MS

20181008_184012Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern

“I am a Mental Health Counselor who graduated with my Master’s Degree in Counseling from Palm Beach Atlantic University. I truly believe that the most crucial part of therapy is to create a genuine connection with clients by creating a safe and non-judgmental space for them. I have experience in working with adolescents, adults, and families. My treatment modalities include Person-Centered Therapy, Expressive Arts Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help clients cope with difficult emotions, stress, anger management, relational concerns, and processing unresolved trauma. I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR). I will work with you to foster hope, develop meaningful relationships, recognize your strengths and develop self-esteem. My specialty is helping people uncover the root of their problems and then empower them with the skills necessary to regain a healthier sense of control in those areas.”

Denise is a member of the Open Path Psychotherapy Collective, which offers low cost therapy services to Clients in need.
